Mumbai, Feb 9 (NationPress) Actress Taranjit Kaur is set to appear in the eagerly awaited series "Shabad - Reet Aur Riwaz".
Reflecting on her journey to land the role, Taranjit revealed that she was in Chandigarh visiting her family when she received a call to audition.
After submitting her first audition tape, she was promptly asked to do another one late at night, which ultimately led to her selection.
Taranjit recounted the experience, stating, "I was in Chandigarh, visiting my parents when I got the audition call for the character Manjot. I sent my initial test and was informed a few days later that I had been shortlisted."
"Then came a surprising turn — I was requested to send another audition late at night, around 11 p.m. After some hesitation because my parents were asleep, I felt compelled to comply due to the tight schedule before the shoot. I shot the audition close to 1 a.m. Eventually, at around 2–2:30 a.m., I got a call from the director and producer confirming my selection and asking me to take an early morning flight to finalize the arrangements. I had to decline as I didn’t want to disturb my parents' sleep. I requested them to wait for my return to Mumbai to complete the formalities in the following days," she added.
Describing the experience of joining the project, she said, "It was a unique and intense journey — being finalized just days before we started filming. I am particularly thankful to the director, Ameet, who encouraged me to take this leap of faith, and to our showrunner Jayati, who had unwavering faith in me."
