Chennai, April 9 (NationPress) Director Ram Gopal Varma has guaranteed Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who directed ‘Animal’, that he will astonish and shock him with his upcoming movie ‘Syndicate’.
On his X timeline, he shared a video clip from an interview where Sandeep Reddy Vanga expressed his wish to see Ram Gopal Varma create a film grossing between 800 to 1000 crores. In response, Ram Gopal Varma stated, “Hey @imvangasandeep. This is not a promise to you but it is to myself… I will more than surprise shock you with ‘Syndicate’.”
During the interview, Sandeep Reddy Vanga mentioned, “I want him (Ram Gopal Varma) to make just one film that genuinely makes 800-1000 crores and then return to whatever he was doing. I want you (RGV) to shock and surprise the audience once more. I told him (RGV) as well.”
It is worth noting that Ram Gopal Varma had previously written a personal note expressing regret for not setting his film ‘Sathya’ as the standard for all his works.
In this note, he vowed that every film he produces moving forward will be created with a deep respect for his original aspirations of becoming a director, and he announced his next project called ‘Syndicate’.
Ram Gopal Varma expressed his commitment to redeem all his cinematic missteps over the past years with this single film, ‘Syndicate’.
He mentioned, “Following my confession about ‘Satya’, I chose to make the biggest film ever. The title is ‘Syndicate’. It explores a menacing organization that jeopardizes the very existence of India.”
“‘Syndicate’ is a futuristic narrative, not set in a distant future, but depicting scenarios that could unfold as soon as tomorrow or next week. For instance, the world woke up to Al Qaeda on September 11, 2001, unaware of its existence just a day prior. The film begins with the statement ‘Only man can be the most terrifying animal.’,” Varma noted.
“This sets the foundation for a series of unimaginable yet highly terrifying and meticulously planned events, orchestrated by a shadowy group known as the Syndicate, whose sole aim is to replace India with a new version of itself.
“‘Syndicate’ is poised to be a profoundly unsettling film, not because of supernatural elements, but because it will chillingly reveal the atrocities that humans are capable of. The film will delve deeply into the cyclical nature of crime and terror, demonstrating that while we may have victories, the grim reality is that crime and terror are perpetual; they continuously resurface in even deadlier forms. I have vowed to erase all my cinematic sins with this singular film called ‘Syndicate’. The cast and additional details will be revealed soon,” he concluded.
