Varun Dhawan Alludes to the Notorious Dispute Between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover

Mumbai, Dec 11 (NationPress) Bollywood sensation Varun Dhawan, who is in the spotlight for his upcoming theatrical release, ‘Baby John’, recently made an appearance on the streaming sketch comedy series ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ and delivered an entertaining performance.
During the episode, Varun humorously teased the show’s host, Kapil Sharma, by referencing the notorious confrontation between Kapil and fellow comedian-actor Sunil Grover.
The newly released promo of the series features Sunil remarking to Varun, “You resemble an original Baby John.”
Kapil responded by saying to Sunil, “You’re the duplicate. Everyone else here is original.”
Varun seized the humorous moment, stating, “I don't get one thing. Why is it that whenever you're at the airport, you always end up fighting?”
Back in 2017, Kapil Sharma had a significant altercation with Sunil Grover and Chandan Prabhakar during a flight returning from Melbourne. Reports indicated that Kapil verbally insulted Sunil Grover, leading Sunil to decide against returning to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Prior to their infamous fallout, Kapil and Sunil had collaborated on popular projects like ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
In another amusing moment during the episode, Varun showcased his pole dancing skills. Upon witnessing this, director-producer Atlee commented, “I’ve never seen a boy pole dance. This is my first time.”
Meanwhile, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ centers around Kapil Sharma and his ensemble of comedians, which includes Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Rajiv Thakur.
The show’s format closely resembles Kapil’s previous shows, tailored for a broad audience on the streaming platform. The lavish set is visually stunning, designed to resemble a luxurious airport terminal. Archana Puran Singh serves as the show’s permanent guest.
