Varun Dhawan Discusses the Challenges of Heartbreak for Men

Mumbai, Dec 29 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who stars in the recently released film ‘Baby John’, believes that experiencing heartbreak is a tough phase for men.

During a recent appearance on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, he elaborated on how men often struggle to navigate the emotional turmoil that accompanies heartbreak.

He stated, “When a man's heart breaks, society often overlooks the repercussions it has on him. They endure a profoundly challenging time. There is an expectation to keep working and to fulfill various responsibilities.”

He added, “You aren't even allowed to express your feelings. You feel completely broken inside. You cannot display that anguish. You must maintain a facade and press on because there's an expectation for you to be resilient; a boy isn't supposed to cry.”

Previously, Varun addressed the necessity for transformation within the Hindi film industry. He noted that Bollywood is presently influenced by perspectives that primarily reflect Mumbai, the entertainment capital of India. He emphasized the importance of incorporating voices from across the country to enrich storytelling.

On ‘The Ranveer Show’, he remarked, “There needs to be representation from various regions beyond just Bombay. We require input from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Their voices are essential. We truly need it.”

Furthermore, Varun asserted that those with authority in Bollywood must recognize the importance of evolving with the times. If they are unable to adapt, they should be open to relinquishing some power for the collective advancement of the industry.
