Chennai, Jan 25 (NationPress) Actor Manikandan, a rapidly emerging hero in Tamil cinema, revealed how Vijay Sethupathi has been a source of support and kindness during his journey as a budding actor.

During an interview on a YouTube channel, Manikandan recounted, “While working on Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, I barely had the chance to converse with Sethu anna. He would arrive, complete his scenes, and leave promptly.”

“One day, it started to rain while we were filming. Everyone rushed to find shelter. I managed to squeeze into a small covered area. Sethu anna joined me there since his vanity van was too far away,” he shared.

“We talked for 15 minutes while waiting for the rain to stop. Eventually, when the rain ceased, he didn’t leave right away. He invited me to sit down, and our conversation deepened. I mentioned that my younger sister required surgery, and I had requested an advance payment from the film’s executive producer to cover the medical expenses. Upon hearing this, Sethu anna called me and asked, ‘Is this where the surgery is taking place? We are on our way.’”

“On another occasion, when my younger sister was set to tie the knot, I hadn’t formally invited him. However, after the ceremony, I received a call from Sethu anna. He inquired, ‘Today is your sister’s wedding, right? Please send me the location.’ I informed him that the wedding had concluded, but he pressed on, ‘You’ll be there for another 20 minutes, correct?’ I affirmed, and he arrived shortly after.”

“He greeted everyone, and just as he was about to leave, he unexpectedly handed me Rs Three lakhs in cash, saying, ‘Take this.’ When I hesitated, he urged, ‘You will need this money. Keep it safe.’”
