Tamil romantic entertainer Lightweight, Baby! has officially wrapped its 45-day shoot, the makers announced on 29 July, with the film's first look set to be unveiled in the second week of August. Directed by KC Guru and starring stand-up comedian Vikkals Vikram and fitness personality Arathy Krishna, the project marks a notable debut for both leads in lead roles on the big screen.

The film was shot across Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mysuru over four schedules spanning 45 days. Sources close to the unit describe Lightweight, Baby! as a genre-blending entertainer set in the world of competitive fitness, weaving together humour, romance, family expectations, and personal ambition.

Unconventional Leads and Their Firsts

This film marks Vikkals Vikram's first outing as a leading man in Tamil cinema, building on his popularity as a stand-up comedian and his stint on the reality show Bigg Boss. He has also penned the film's dialogues — a rare dual role that allowed him to shape the character both on screen and on paper. Opposite him, Arathy Krishna — a prominent name in the fitness and bodybuilding community — makes her first major screen appearance. The unconventional pairing generated considerable curiosity following the film's title announcement earlier this year.
