Vikrant Massey Kicks Off Shooting for ‘Ankhon Ki Gustakhiyan’ After Retirement Announcement

Mumbai, Dec 5 (NationPress) Actor Vikrant Massey is embarking on an exciting journey as he stars in a captivating new musical romance with Shanaya Kapoor.

Following his recent retraction of the retirement announcement, Vikrant has commenced filming for his upcoming movie, “Ankhon Ki Gustakhiyan.” The actor, who had hinted at a break from the film industry, is now energized and ready to dive into this new venture. The film’s opening clap ceremony took place recently, attended by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with the cast and crew.

Expressing his enthusiasm, CM Dhami stated, “I am thrilled to witness young filmmakers like Mansi & Varun Bagla highlighting the beauty of our state while narrating a timeless tale celebrating love and human endurance.”

Producer Mansi Bagla commented, “We were very selective about casting the right talents for this romantic tale. Vikrant Massey is a reservoir of talent, and his rapport with debutant Shanaya Kapoor is genuinely captivating. Aarushi Nishank, a versatile actress and a celebrated local from Uttarakhand, brings an authentic essence to the film. We genuinely believe they are the ideal choices for the roles in our project.”

Produced by Mini Films and directed by Santosh Singh, this forthcoming musical love story features Vikrant alongside debutant Shanaya Kapoor and Aarushi Nishank.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, penned by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla, is being filmed across Mumbai, Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Europe.

Meanwhile, the '12th Fail' actor has clarified that he is not retiring from acting; instead, he is taking a long break to concentrate on his health and family.

In a statement, Massey expressed, “Acting is my passion. It has provided me with everything I own. My physical and mental well-being have faced challenges. I just need some time off to enhance my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at this moment. My previous post has been misunderstood to imply that I am quitting or retiring from acting. I want to allocate time for my family and health. I will return when the moment feels appropriate.”
