Did Vishnu Manchu Just Complete His Journey to All 12 Jyotirlinga Temples?

Chennai, June 25 (NationPress) Actor Vishnu Manchu, who stars in director Mukesh Kumar Singh’s highly anticipated film, ‘Kannappa’, has shared that his spiritual journey to visit all 12 sacred Jyotirlingas across India has reached a profound conclusion with his darshan at the Sri Sailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple.

In a heartfelt update on social media, he expressed, "Twelve Jyotirlingas. One journey. Eternal peace. I have just completed the sacred darshan at Sri Sailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple—one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. With this visit, my pilgrimage to all twelve Jyotirlinga temples concludes on a divine note."

He continued, "My heart is full. My soul feels blessed. Life at this moment is overflowing with positivity, gratitude, and tranquility. Standing at this spiritual milestone, I now eagerly anticipate the next chapter: #Kannappa, releasing globally on June 27. This film is very dear to me, a story that embodies the spirit I carry today. Har Har Mahadev! #Kannappa27thJune."

While announcing his journey, Vishnu Manchu admitted on social media, "I must confess something. Prior to embarking on ‘Kannappa’, I wasn't a great devotee of Lord Shiva. My devotion was towards Lord Hanuman, and I still recite the Hanuman Chalisa daily.

“However, my research while writing Kannappa led to significant changes in me. I discovered the essence of the Jyothrilingas and the importance of visiting them. Hence, I decided to journey to all 12 sacred sites of these Jyothirlingas,” he elaborated.

“Many people are unaware of what these Jyothirlingas signify. I was in the same boat until recently. To enlighten others like me, I plan to create a series of videos about Jyothirlingas.”

The actor also discussed varying beliefs across different yugas. “Currently, we are in Kaliyug. In Sathyayuga, it was believed that penance brought one closer to God. Meditation was the path to discovering life’s purpose. Now, in Kaliyug, visiting holy sites allows one to not only draw closer to God but also comprehend the meaning of one’s existence.”

“These 12 Jyothirlingas are potent sites. They stand as proof that Lord Shiva walked among ordinary people. Spanning from Kedarnath to Rameshwaram, the twelve Jyothirlingas are scattered all over the nation. Each has its own story. I aspire to visit every Jyothirlinga. The belief is that one can realize their life’s purpose near these sacred sites. My current purpose is to be an actor until my last breath. But what is the greater purpose of my life? This pilgrimage to the 12 Jyothirlingas is a journey of self-discovery for me. I have already paid my respects at three Jyothirlingas—Kedarnath, Omkareshwar, and Ujjain. I will share insights about these three temples in my upcoming video. I will also narrate the stories of all the Jyothirlingas before visiting them," he added.
