Bhopal, March 25 (NationPress) In an extraordinary accomplishment under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), numerous residents in the Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh are now receiving essential medical care, including complimentary dialysis at the district hospital.

The beneficiaries of the Ayushman scheme, mainly from economically disadvantaged and marginalized backgrounds, are gaining access to free healthcare services at the hospital. Patients are experiencing recovery from severe health issues without incurring substantial medical expenses, providing peace of mind to their families.

Many patients and their relatives expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating this public welfare program aimed at assisting the underprivileged.

Kantilal, a resident of Kelod village, shared that he received his Ayushman card three years ago and has been enjoying its benefits ever since. He has been undergoing free dialysis treatment at the District Hospital since 2022.

He mentioned that he previously had to visit private hospitals for treatment multiple times, but now all his medical expenses are covered.

Sunil Chauhan from Rajaram Nagar also recounted his experience.

Having obtained his Ayushman card four years ago, he has been battling a serious illness requiring regular dialysis. Since 2022, he has benefitted from free dialysis treatment under the Ayushman scheme, alleviating both his health challenges and financial strain.

He noted that without his Ayushman card, he would not have been able to access treatment.

In addition, many other patients in the district suffering from various ailments are eligible for medical assistance worth lakhs of rupees under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Sarojini James confirmed that patients are receiving complimentary medical care through the Ayushman Bharat scheme at the District Hospital and other associated healthcare facilities.

Through this ambitious initiative by the Central Government—the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Scheme—thousands of individuals in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, are reaping the benefits of free medical treatment.

Launched by Narendra Modi, this scheme aims to enhance healthcare services for those belonging to economically weaker sections of society.

The Ayushman Bharat Yojana stands as the world’s largest public healthcare scheme, aiming to provide health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakhs for each eligible household annually.
