On Thursday afternoon, a distressed family reached the Company Operating Base at Hanuman Top in Imphal East district seeking urgent medical help.
Acting swiftly, Army personnel provided first aid under the supervision of the Regimental Medical Officer. The injury was meticulously treated, and the affected limb was immobilised to prevent the venom's spread.
Following initial stabilization, the child was promptly evacuated to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal for advanced treatment.
