New Delhi, Feb 7 (NationPress) Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare JP Nadda on Saturday called on the youth to engage in responsible actions and give back to society.
While speaking at the convocation ceremony for 2025-26 of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), Nadda remarked that this moment marks not only the end of an academic journey but also the dawn of a new chapter of responsibility towards the nation and society.
He highlighted that the graduating students are fortunate to commence their professional journeys during the second phase of Amrit Kaal, which leads up to 2047, a year when India aims to achieve full development.
“This period provides vast opportunities as well as significant responsibilities; the youth must actively contribute to our nation's growth,” Nadda stated.
“They should always remember that society has played a pivotal role in their success, and as a result, they must endeavor to repay that by serving society selflessly and meaningfully,” Nadda expressed.
He also encouraged the graduates to advance with strong values, ethical integrity, and a firm commitment to public service.
During the event, the Minister pointed out the remarkable progress made under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 11 years.
“The establishment of 23 AIIMS, a significant increase from just six, has created a strong network of advanced healthcare institutions nationwide,” Nadda noted.
He further emphasized that India has seen incredible improvements in healthcare indicators, including maternal and child health, as well as in managing communicable and non-communicable diseases, particularly tuberculosis and malaria.
The Minister also drew attention to a notable reduction in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, thanks to initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and extensive population screening programs, which have made healthcare more accessible and affordable.
A total of 2,150 students from various disciplines, such as engineering, management, law, education, sciences, and healthcare, received their degrees during the ceremony.
This included 521 undergraduate students, 58 postgraduate students, and 11 doctoral scholars, marking a significant academic achievement for the graduating group.
