Brazilian President's Recovery Progressing Well Following Brain Surgery, Reports Medical Team

Sao Paulo, Dec 10 (NationPress) Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is reported to be in stable condition following a brain surgery. He is currently able to speak and eat without issues, with no long-term effects expected, as stated by the Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo during a press conference held on Tuesday morning.
Dr. Roberto Kalil, a member of the medical team, mentioned that Lula regained consciousness post-surgery and is doing well, exhibiting normal speech and eating capabilities. He further noted that the president will be under intensive care for the next 48 hours and is anticipated to return to Brasilia early next week.
Lula underwent an MRI late on Monday after experiencing a headache, leading to his transfer to the hospital for surgical intervention. The procedure, which lasted approximately two hours, involved draining a hematoma located between his brain and skull, with no damage to the brain, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Medical professionals indicated that the bleeding was associated with Lula's fall in October, during which he slipped in the bathroom and required five stitches to treat a wound at the back of his head.
