Bus Accident in Czech Republic Leaves 11 Injured

Prague, Dec 7 (NationPress) A total of 11 individuals were injured in a bus incident in the northeastern part of the Czech Republic, specifically in the Moravian-Silesian region, attributed to heavy snowfall, according to local media sources.
The collision occurred on Friday at approximately 10:45 A.M. local time on a roadway near Milotice nad Opavou.
The bus driver, who was transporting 20 passengers, veered off the snowy path and into a ditch, as reported by Xinhua News Agency while citing the Czech News Agency.
Local medical responders attended to the 11 passengers, all of whom were reported to be conscious and sustained moderate to minor injuries.
The results of the driver's breath analysis were negative, and the roadway was blocked in both directions for over an hour. Certain routes, especially those in elevated areas within the Moravian-Silesian Region, could only be navigated with heightened caution.
The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute indicated that most regions of the country saw between 10 to 20 millimeters of precipitation from Friday morning to afternoon, with some areas receiving up to 25 millimeters.
Intense snowfall has led to disruptions in traffic across various locations, with reports indicating that the most severe conditions were found in the northern and northeastern sectors.
