Canberra, July 27 (NationPress) Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC), engaged in discussions with Lieutenant General Joshua Rudd, Deputy Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, during Exercise Talisman Sabre in Australia. The focus was on exploring various pathways to enhance defense cooperation and future operational collaboration, as reported by the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff.

The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff shared on X, stating, "Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff #CISC #HQ_IDS convened bilateral talks with Lt Gen Joshua Rudd, Deputy Commander, US Indo-Pacific Command at Exercise #TalismanSabre2025. Discussions revolved around avenues to bolster Defence Cooperation and future operational prospects. India - USA defense engagements reflect a mutual commitment towards Regional Security and stability across the Indo-Pacific."

Additionally, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit engaged in bilateral talks with Vice Admiral Justin Jones, Chief of Joint Operations for the Australian Defence Forces, also during the Talisman Sabre 2025 exercise. Their dialogue focused on enhancing defense ties and advancing bilateral relations towards a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

On Saturday, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit attended the Australian Defence Forces Chiefs of Joint Operations Conclave, part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 in Darwin, Australia. His participation included panel discussions addressing contemporary issues across the spectrum of warfare.

The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff indicated on X, "Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, India is involved in the Australian Defence Forces Chiefs of Joint Operations Conclave as part of Exercise #TalismanSabre2025 in Darwin, Australia. During the initial day of the conclave, CISC attended discussions on key warfare issues."

This conclave assembles senior military leaders from 19 participating nations, promoting dialogue on Multi-Domain Operations, interoperability, and Regional Security collaboration. India's involvement reflects its determination to strengthen defense partnerships and contribute to a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific through collaborative security efforts.

Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit is visiting Australia from July 26-28 to observe the 11th iteration of the ongoing Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 (TS25).

Six officers from the Indian Armed Forces are participating in TS25 as Staff Planners at various tiers of Joint Operations Planning, Control, Safety, and Logistics. Indian officers had previously participated as Observers in 2021 and 2023.

The exercise will exhibit extensive interoperability and joint warfare capabilities across air, land, maritime, space, and cyber domains, according to the press release.
