New Delhi, April 29 (NationPress) The Central government has taken action by blocking the X account of Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif after a brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that tragically claimed the lives of 26 individuals, predominantly tourists.

This decision comes in light of Asif's shocking admission regarding Pakistan's involvement in global terrorism, reinforcing the country's image as a "rogue state".

During an interview with Sky News last week, Asif was asked about Pakistan's history of "backing and supporting and training and funding" terrorist organizations, to which he openly acknowledged.

He stated, "We have been doing this dirty work for the United States (US) for about three decades... and West, including Britain," addressing Pakistan's connections with terror groups.

India strongly condemned his remarks and raised the issue at the United Nations. India's deputy permanent representative to the UN, Yojna Patel, referred to Asif's statement as a blatant confession of Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism.

Patel, while addressing a UN event for victims of terrorism, remarked, "This open confession surprises no one and exposes Pakistan as a rogue state fueling global terrorism and destabilising the region."

She further pointed out that Pakistan's delegate had once again exploited an international platform to disseminate propaganda and unfounded accusations against India, asserting that the truth was now evident.

The ban on Asif's X account followed a day after India prohibited 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, which had a collective subscriber base of 63 million, for allegedly disseminating provocative and communally sensitive material.

Notable channels affected include Dawn News, ARY News, BOL News, Geo News, SAMAA TV, and GNN.

In a related incident, terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in the Baisaran Valley, resulting in 26 fatalities and numerous injuries, including that of a Nepali national. Disturbing visuals from the scene have circulated widely, depicting chaos and the indiscriminate firing by the assailants.
