Washington, Feb 4 (NationPress) U.S. Senator Roger Marshall emphasized the crucial role of India in President Donald Trump’s trade agenda, stating that the recent agreement with New Delhi is poised to double American agriculture and oil exports. Additionally, this deal will bolster America’s national security by diminishing India’s dependence on Russian energy.

During his appearance on The Evening Edit on Fox Business, Marshall, a Republican from Kansas, highlighted the economic and strategic benefits stemming from the agreement unveiled by the Trump administration.

“It’s another fantastic day of success for President Trump and for America,” Marshall stated in the interview.

“President Trump is unique in that he utilizes tariffs to create economic advantages as well as national security benefits.”

He pointed out that the India deal offers significant geopolitical rewards by altering energy trade dynamics.

“The national security advantage is that India will cease purchasing oil from Russia and will instead source it from America,” Marshall noted. “This will help to slow down Putin’s military efforts.”

Marshall asserted that the agreement would greatly enhance U.S. exports to India, particularly in sectors vital to rural America.

“This deal will double the U.S. exports of agriculture and oil to India,” he remarked. “This is a win for all Americans and a significant achievement for President Trump.”

He also placed the India agreement within the broader context of tariff-driven trade deals pursued by the Trump administration. “President Trump has successfully negotiated tariff deals with all top 10 trading partners,” Marshall added.

In the same interview, the senator addressed immigration issues, asserting that Republicans hold a strong political and legislative position. “This is another victory for all of us,” he said. “The larger picture is that Republicans possess the advantage and leverage.”

Marshall sharply contrasted the two parties, stating, “Republicans are the party of law and order, while Democrats advocate for defunding the police.”

He criticized Democrats for their funding decisions regarding immigration enforcement, asserting, “They are again attempting to defund ICE, which is not a winning strategy for them.”

He emphasized that public sentiment favors stricter enforcement measures. “A vast majority of Americans desire a secure border, want their families safe, and want violent illegal aliens removed from this country,” Marshall expressed.

He also cautioned about the broader economic ramifications associated with illegal immigration. “From an economic perspective, it’s essential to recognize the impact of millions of individuals entering our country, affecting housing and social resources,” he stated.

Looking toward upcoming budget negotiations, he indicated that Republicans maintain leverage through established funding arrangements. “Republicans retain this leverage as we have allocated funds for ICE in the Working Family Tax Cuts for the next several years,” Marshall noted.

He concluded, “Democrats will attempt to terminate funding for the rest of DHS, including the Coast Guard, FEMA, and TSA.”
