Doha, June 24 (NationPress) The declaration of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, following a series of hostile exchanges and missile strikes, offers significant relief to the Middle East, a region beset by growing tensions and uncertainty.
Numerous countries in the Middle East applauded the ceasefire, crediting US President Donald Trump for facilitating the agreement between the conflicting nations.
From Qatar to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Jordan, and Bahrain, these nations hailed the ceasefire as a crucial advancement toward maintaining regional stability.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy are essential for resolving conflicts.
“Qatar highlights the significance of utilizing peaceful approaches to attain enduring stability and holistic, sustainable peace. Concurrently, the Ministry reiterates that the Iranian infringement on Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace constitutes a perilous escalation in the region, necessitating genuine and collective efforts to mitigate irresponsible actions,” stated a release from Qatar's Foreign Ministry.
The UAE also endorsed the ceasefire arrangement between Iran and Israel.
“The UAE reiterated its strong stance advocating for restraint and prioritizing political solutions and dialogue to prevent further conflicts that disrupt development opportunities and jeopardize the security of the populace,” said the UAE Foreign Ministry.
“Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's unwavering position urging the avoidance of escalation and resolution of all differences through dialogue and peaceful methods. It also called for the prompt resumption of US-Iranian negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue to bolster security, stability, and peace both regionally and globally. The hope is expressed that all parties will adhere to the terms of this agreement,” read a statement from Bahrain's Foreign Ministry.
Jordan underscored the significance of this agreement in alleviating the dangerous escalation occurring in the region.
