Johannesburg, July 19 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita has arrived in the South African city of Johannesburg, marking the commencement of the second phase of his visit to the Kingdom of Lesotho.
The Minister was greeted at the Johannesburg airport by High Commissioner Prabhat Kumar, as part of a three-nation official tour encompassing Eswatini, Lesotho, and South Africa, as reported by the High Commission of India in Pretoria.
During his time in the Kingdom of Lesotho, Margherita is set to pay a courtesy visit to King Letsie III and Prime Minister Samuel Matekane.
He aims to engage in bilateral discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations along with various key ministers responsible for Information, Communications, Science, Technology & Innovation, Education & Training, and Labour and Employment.
Earlier on Friday, MoS Margherita wrapped up a productive visit to Eswatini, where he met influential leaders to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations.
“It was a pleasure to meet with the Foreign Minister of Eswatini, Pholile Dlamini Shakantu. Our discussions were comprehensive and aimed at advancing India–Eswatini relations. I look forward to strengthening our partnership,” Margherita shared on X.
Furthermore, he engaged with Mduduzi Matsebula, the Minister of Health in Eswatini, to discuss ways to bolster cooperation in the health sector.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, they exchanged insights on enhancing bilateral ties and exploring new collaborative opportunities across various domains.

Our discussions focused on reinforcing our long-standing relations and identifying areas for future cooperation,” stated the Eswatini PM on X following their meeting.
