Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force Uncovers Over 260 Kg of Illicit Substances in Nationwide Crackdown

Islamabad, Dec 1 (NationPress) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan carried out several anti-smuggling initiatives across the nation, culminating in the recovery of over 260 kg of illegal substances, according to an official.
The spokesperson for the ANF stated in a Saturday press release that the personnel seized drugs valued at around 24.4 million Pak Rupees (approximately 288,537 US dollars) on the illicit market during various operations conducted in different locations over the past four days, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
As disclosed by the official, the ANF also apprehended 14 suspects during these operations, who have been transferred to investigation units following the filing of cases against them.
The drugs confiscated comprised 247.3 kg of hashish, 5.049 kg of heroin, 10 kg of ice (crystal meth), and 83 grams of weed, the official added.
Details indicated that ANF operations on Kuchlak Road and Saryab Road in the southwestern provincial capital of Quetta resulted in the recovery of 30 kg of hashish and the arrest of six suspects.
Furthermore, the forces confiscated 176.4 kg of hashish, intended for smuggling, concealed in a residence in the Saranan area of Pishin, located in the southwest province of Balochistan.
In two additional raids conducted in the southwestern port city of Gwadar, ANF teams recovered 32 kg of hashish near the coastline and also discovered a warehouse where 5 kg of heroin and 5 kg of ice (crystal meth) were seized.
