PTI Urges Unrestricted Access to Imran Khan Amid Health and Safety Concerns

Islamabad, Dec 2 (NationPress) The political committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has made an official announcement following an important meeting, urging for unrestricted access to party founder Imran Khan amid rising concerns for his health and safety, as reported by the media.

The committee emphasized on Sunday that the well-being of Imran Khan is a serious issue, with increasing public anxiety, according to ARY News.

It called for the immediate restoration of access for his family, legal team, and party officials to guarantee transparency and accountability.

The statement urged both the federal and Punjab governments, along with jail authorities, to provide clear and regular updates regarding Imran Khan's health status.

The committee also appealed to the judiciary to protect Imran Khan's fundamental rights and to implement strong security measures.

A stern warning was issued by the committee, holding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and state institutions entirely responsible for any failures that might jeopardize the safety of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Earlier on Sunday, officials from Adiala Jail confirmed that PTI founder Imran Khan was currently in good health.

This clarification followed reports that suggested Imran Khan's transfer to another location.

Sources indicated that Imran Khan is being held in a cell that falls under the jurisdiction of the New Town police station. He is on physical remand until December 2 in connection with a case stemming from the protest on September 28, according to ARY News.

Daily medical examinations by jail hospital doctors revealed that his blood pressure and sugar levels were normal. The PTI founder keeps himself fit with regular exercise twice a day, as stated by the authorities.

According to sources, all necessary facilities have been provided to the PTI founder in accordance with the jail manual guidelines.

Special attention is being directed towards the PTI founder's diet and overall health.

Jail authorities have ensured that all arrangements for Imran Khan's comfort and health are met.

On December 30, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore found the PTI founder guilty concerning the events of May 9 and denied him bail in eight different cases.

The ruling was elaborated in a six-page written decision by Judge Manzar Ali Gul of the ATC.

The written judgment referenced substantial evidence against Khan, including audio and video recordings of him inciting violent actions.
