Suspension of Syrian Constitution and Parliament for Three Months: Sources Indicate

Damascus, Dec 12 (NationPress) Reports indicate that the Syrian constitution and parliament have been suspended for a three-month period, according to Sawt al-Asima, a news organization that supports the militant factions responsible for the overthrow of the Assad government.
This information was shared on Thursday, referencing unnamed sources, yet lacks specifics regarding the implementation of the suspension.
Earlier, Syria's Military Operations Administration revealed on Wednesday that they have lifted the curfew that was previously enforced on Damascus and its surrounding regions, urging residents to return to their everyday activities and workplaces.
In its announcement, the administration motivated citizens to "play a part in constructing the new Syria" as the nation strives to stabilize following the recent downfall of Bashar al-Assad's government.
The lifting of the curfew coincided with an announcement by Mohammed al-Bashir, a former regional leader in northwestern Syria, who stated on Tuesday that he has been appointed to lead a transitional government in Syria until March 2025.
Furthermore, Xinhua news agency has reported that fighters have fully seized control of the eastern Syrian city of Deir al-Zour following the reported withdrawal of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to locations east of the Euphrates River.
As stated by Hassan Abdel Ghani, a commander within Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the fighters now dominate the entirety of Deir al-Zour city and are making advancements in adjacent rural areas.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Wednesday that the SDF had withdrawn from Deir al-Zour and the nearby city of Al-Bukamal, retreating to areas east of the Euphrates River.
The SDF had previously taken control of Deir al-Zour after the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's government.
Previously regarded as a formidable force in parts of northeastern Syria, the Kurdish forces seem to have relinquished ground as militant groups led by the HTS assert their dominance over significant territories and vital population centers.
