Tragic Highway Collisions Claim Three Lives and Injure Twelve in Afghanistan

Kabul, Dec 6 (NationPress) A total of three commuters have died, and twelve others sustained injuries in two separate road incidents in Afghanistan.

The first incident occurred in Jawzjan province on a highway connecting the province to the neighboring Sari Pul province. According to provincial police spokesman Abdul Satar Halimi, a vehicle strayed off the road on Thursday afternoon, resulting in one fatality at the scene and injuries to ten others.

The second road incident took place in the Shahr-e-Safa district of Zabul province along a highway that links Kandahar with the national capital, Kabul. This accident occurred on Thursday night and led to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two more, as reported by provincial police spokesperson Zabihullah Jawhar.

The official attributed the incidents to reckless driving, emphasizing that drivers' negligence on crowded roads frequently results in tragic outcomes for commuters, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
