Tragic House Fire Claims Two Lives in Aichi Prefecture, Japan

Tokyo, Dec 5 (NationPress) A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday in Seto City, located in Aichi Prefecture, leading to the destruction of two residential structures and the tragic confirmation of two fatalities, as reported by local news outlets.
The blaze was first reported at approximately 2:30 a.m. local time, when a neighbor notified the authorities about a house engulfed in flames, as per a report from the Xinhua news agency citing NHK.
In response, firefighters dispatched 14 fire trucks to tackle the inferno, which took over four hours to extinguish.
According to officials from the police and fire departments, the fire consumed two adjacent two-story wooden houses. The remains of one of the residences yielded two bodies.
The affected house was reportedly home to a family of five, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
A joint investigation by police and fire officials is currently in progress to determine the fire's cause.
