Tragic Incident Claims Lives in Madison, Wisconsin School Shooting

New York, Dec 17 (NationPress) At least four individuals have lost their lives and five others have sustained injuries following a shooting incident at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, where the suspected shooter, a juvenile thought to be a student, is also reported dead, according to police.

The Madison Police Department has refrained from sharing details regarding the identities of the four victims, emphasizing the necessity to notify their families prior to releasing any information, as reported by Xinhua news agency.

Authorities are actively engaged in reuniting students with their parents. The school serves approximately 390 students from kindergarten to 12th grade, as stated by ABC News. Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have also arrived at the scene.

Senator Ron Johnson expressed his condolences on social media, stating, "My sincere condolences and prayers for all the victims of the tragedy at Abundant Life Christian School. I will continue to closely monitor the situation." Meanwhile, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers remarked, "I am closely monitoring the incident at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison. We are praying for the children, educators, and the entire Abundant Life school community as we await more information and are grateful for the first responders who are working quickly to respond."

US President Joe Biden has been updated regarding the school shooting in Madison. Senior deputy press secretary Emilie Simons stated, "The President has been briefed on the school shooting in Madison, Wisconsin. Senior White House officials are in touch with local counterparts in Madison to provide support as needed."
