Washington, Feb 7 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump stated that Iran “appears eager to finalize a deal,” while highlighting what he termed advancements in discussions involving Iran, Russia, and Ukraine, in addition to celebrating economic improvements and decreasing prices domestically.

“We had very, very productive discussions today concerning Russia and Ukraine,” Trump remarked. “Something may be on the verge of happening.”

He noted that negotiations with Iran were also progressing positively. “We similarly had very constructive conversations regarding Iran,” he mentioned. “Iran seems to want to finalize a deal quite desperately.”

Trump indicated that any forthcoming agreement would diverge from previous attempts. “We need to determine what that deal entails,” he stated. “It will differ significantly from the past.”

He asserted that the US military was enhancing its presence in the region. “We have a substantial Armada. A large fleet is heading that way,” Trump proclaimed. “It will arrive shortly.”

Shifting focus to the economy, Trump boasted about historic market achievements. “As you’re aware, the stock market surpassed what was once deemed impossible,” he noted. “We exceeded 50,000 on the Dow.”

He remarked that this achievement occurred sooner than anticipated. “Many believed it was unfeasible to accomplish this quickly,” Trump stated. “We achieved it in the first year, so we’re approximately three years ahead of schedule.”

Trump also emphasized the reduction in prices. “Prices have significantly declined,” he noted. “Energy costs are lower.”

He referenced gasoline prices from a recent visit. “In Iowa, the prices for a gallon of gasoline were $1.85, $1.89, and $1.99 at three different stations,” he shared. “Thus, gasoline prices are considerably lower.”

Trump added, “Energy prices are down. Grocery costs are also down.”

He attributed earlier price hikes to Democrats. “You no longer hear Democrats discussing affordability,” he commented, adding, “They significantly contributed to the affordability crisis.”

Trump claimed his administration had reversed previous policies. “We’ve dismantled the Biden disaster, the chaos I inherited,” he asserted.

Regarding border security, Trump declared that enforcement had reached unprecedented levels. “The border is exceptionally secure, more than ever before,” he stated. “We’ve had nine months with zero illegal entries.”

He also claimed historic reductions in crime. “Crime is at a record low for 125 years,” Trump mentioned. “It’s the lowest it has been since 1900.”

When questioned about a social media post that was later removed, he stated he had only reviewed part of it. “I looked at the initial portion,” he said. “It pertained to voter fraud.”

He explained that the post was retracted after concerns arose. “We took it down as soon as we became aware,” Trump stated.

In response to demands for an apology, Trump remarked, “No, I didn’t err.”

On the subject of diplomacy with Iran, he affirmed that discussions would persist. “We’re having very productive talks with Iran,” Trump said. “We plan to reconvene early next week.”

“They wish to finalize a deal, as they should,” he remarked. “They understand the ramifications if they do not.”

Trump did not elaborate on those ramifications, only stating, “We have ample time.”

The United States has long aimed to limit Iran’s nuclear initiatives through diplomacy and sanctions, while maintaining a considerable military presence in the Middle East. Negotiations with Russia and Ukraine have garnered global attention amid ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe.

Trump has consistently utilized public comments to associate foreign policy, market performance, and domestic pricing, portraying them as reflections of his administration's accomplishments, while sharply criticizing the record of his predecessor.
