Washington, March 10 (NationPress) In a private speech to House Republicans in Florida, US President Donald Trump intertwined military discourse with electoral strategy, commending US military operations in Iran while urging lawmakers to support the initiative he named the “Save America Act”.

During the Republican Members' Issues Conference in Doral on Monday, Trump characterized House Republicans as part of “one of the most significant Republican majorities in history” and posited that their legislative efforts would impact both national security and the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.

Much of his address focused on Iran, framing recent US military actions as crucial and imperative. Trump stated, “The world is witnessing the significance of that investment with one of the most intricate and remarkable operations ever executed” and referred to it as “Operation Epic Fury”.

He asserted that “Iran’s drone and missile capabilities are being completely dismantled” and proclaimed “the Navy is gone. It’s all resting at the bottom of the ocean”. He emphasized that the United States “will not relent until the enemy is utterly and decisively defeated”.

Furthermore, Trump linked the military operation to his broader narrative that Republicans have restored American strength. “The United States of America is the most exceptional nation in human history and will no longer be threatened by evil terrorists and lunatics,” he asserted.

He shared that visiting the families of fallen US service members at Dover Air Force Base had reinforced his determination, recounting their words, “Make sure you win, sir.”

However, the speech was equally about domestic politics as it was about foreign affairs.

Trump called on Republicans to prioritize the passage of the “Save America Act”, arguing that the legislation should mandate voter identification, proof of citizenship, and stricter regulations on mail-in voting. He also expressed a desire for the bill to include provisions against “men in women’s sports” and “transgender mutilation surgery for our children”.

Labeling it his “most significant plea tonight,” Trump urged Republicans to avoid accepting a “watered down version” of the legislation and instead “go for the gold”. He went so far as to declare, “I’m willing to just sort of say, I’m not going to sign anything until this is approved.”

He argued that the successful passage of this measure would be politically transformative for the party. “It’ll guarantee the midterms,” Trump stated. “If you get this, your midterms are secured, and they won’t be able to cheat.”

Additionally, Trump defended his economic achievements, claiming inflation is decreasing, incomes are increasing, and the stock market has reached new heights. He called for measures addressing drug prices, housing, and crime, while accusing Democrats of prioritizing illegal immigrants, insurance companies, and political interests over the needs of everyday Americans.

Throughout the address, Trump’s tone became confrontational and personal, ridiculing Democratic leaders and insisting that Republicans must unite behind a stringent legislative agenda.
