Washington, March 26 (NationPress) President Donald Trump expressed optimism regarding a robust performance from the Republican Party in the upcoming midterm elections, launching a pointed critique against the Democrats while underscoring his administration's achievements in economic, military, and border policies.

Speaking at a House Republican gathering at Union Station on Wednesday (local time), Trump asserted that his administration had produced significant outcomes and claimed they would “defy history” in the forthcoming elections.

“With your support this November, we’ll overcome the radical left Democrats, achieving a midterm victory unlike anything our nation has experienced before,” Trump stated.

He framed the election as a reflection of his presidency, maintaining that Republicans had a mandate after their last electoral success. “We secured victories in all seven swing states… We claimed the electoral college… We even won the popular vote,” he noted.

Trump also celebrated fundraising achievements, revealing that the event raised a record-setting amount. “Tonight… we raised $37 million. A new record,” he mentioned.

In a comprehensive address, Trump credited his administration with diminishing illegal immigration and drug trafficking, while asserting enhancements in crime statistics. “For ten consecutive months, there have been zero illegal aliens admitted to the United States,” he claimed.

He further highlighted enforcement initiatives at airports and the effective deployment of immigration agents. “They’re doing an incredible job at the airports,” Trump remarked, indicating that wait times had significantly improved.

On the subject of foreign relations, Trump stated that the US had taken decisive measures against Iran’s nuclear aspirations. “We had to eradicate the cancer… The cancer was Iran with nuclear capabilities,” he asserted.

He claimed that recent military actions had considerably weakened Iran. “We dismantled their navy, we dismantled everything,” Trump declared.

Trump also suggested that Iran was eager for negotiations. “They are negotiating… they yearn for a deal,” he said.

The President consistently criticized Democrats, accusing them of implementing “terrible policies” and fostering instability. “They aim to sow chaos… They can’t produce good policy,” he asserted.

He condemned opposition to voter ID legislation and immigration regulations, stating, “The only reason you oppose this is that you want to cheat.”

Additionally, Trump accused Democrats of obstructing essential legislative goals, including border security and crime initiatives. “We need a few more votes… we could accomplish miraculous things,” he indicated.

Regarding the economy, he claimed success in battling inflation and lowering drug costs. “We’ve slashed drug prices by 50, 60, 70, 80, and even 90 percent,” he claimed.

He also advocated for tax reforms, such as eliminating taxes on gratuities and overtime pay. “No tax on tips… no tax on overtime,” Trump affirmed.

Trump concluded by calling for party unity and a vigorous campaign leading into the elections. “You must fight, and you must be resolute… Republicans need to stand together,” he urged.

He finished with a well-known political mantra, stating, “We will ensure America is safe again… and most importantly, we will make America great again.”

The midterm elections, scheduled for later this year, will decide the balance of power in Congress and are viewed as a critical test of the administration’s political strength.
