Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov verified that the primary focus of the summit will be to explore avenues for a sustainable resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, as reported by RIA Novosti.
On Thursday, Trump stated that a meeting involving Russian and Ukrainian leaders was not a prerequisite for his discussions with Putin.
Furthermore, following the Alaska summit, Russia anticipates that the next conference between Putin and Trump will occur on Russian soil, as indicated by Ushakov on Saturday.
"Looking ahead, we should naturally aim for the next meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump to take place in Russia," Ushakov was quoted by TASS news agency. "A formal invitation has already been extended to the US President."
