Twelve Arrested in Dagestan, Russia for Alleged Terrorism Plot

Moscow, Dec 8 (NationPress) Twelve individuals accused of orchestrating a significant terrorist attack have been apprehended in the southern region of Dagestan, Russia.
As reported by the local security service, law enforcement officials confiscated two improvised explosive devices, a ton of ammonium nitrate, in addition to various weapons and ammunition during the investigation of the suspects' residences, according to a report from Xinhua, citing Russia's RIA Novosti.
The suspects have admitted to their intentions regarding the planned attack, the statement indicated.
Located in the North Caucasian area, Dagestan is recognized as one of Russia's most linguistically and ethnically diverse regions, with a majority Muslim population.
