New Delhi, March 5 (NationPress) The Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, has touched down in New Delhi on Thursday to participate in the Raisina Dialogue 2026.

In a statement on X, Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), welcomed Minister Herath, noting, "A warm welcome to the Foreign Affairs Minister of Sri Lanka, Mr. Vijitha Herath, as he arrives in New Delhi for the Raisina Dialogue 2026. India and Sri Lanka maintain a robust and multifaceted partnership, deeply rooted in shared cultural links."

The 11th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, recognized as India's premier conference focusing on geopolitics and geo-economics, kicks off today in New Delhi, gathering a diverse group of global leaders, policymakers, and strategic analysts.

Established in 2016, the annual Raisina Dialogue has become a leading venue for discussing international relations.

This three-day event, organized by the Observer Research Foundation in association with the Ministry of External Affairs, will see participation from heads of state, ministers, scholars, industry leaders, think tanks, and media representatives, addressing urgent global issues.

Throughout the years, the Dialogue has facilitated extensive discussions on evolving geopolitical dynamics, climate challenges, technological advancements, economic stability, and the future of global governance structures.

This forum acts as a platform for dialogue and collaboration on matters influencing the international landscape.

The theme for the 2026 edition, 'Samskara – Assertion, Accommodation, Advancement', aims to resonate with the present global context. The organizers describe Samskara as the legacy of identity that allows civilizations to assert their essence, embrace differences, and progress through refinement.

Numerous international dignitaries are anticipated to attend the conference, with the MEA confirming multiple high-profile delegations from around the globe for the Raisina Dialogue 2026.

Earlier today, Barry Faure, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora from Seychelles, arrived in New Delhi for the event.

Additionally, Dina Nath Dhungyel, Bhutan’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, has also reached India to engage in this significant geopolitics and geo-economics forum.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for his state visit and will serve as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at the Raisina Dialogue.

The United States will be represented by Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, leading a US delegation to the Dialogue.
