The President’s Police Medal for distinguished service was given to Vivek Priyadarshi, DIG, CBI, BSFB, New Delhi; Dr. Machhindra Ramchandra Kadole, DIG, CBI, BSFB, Kolkata; Venkata Narendra Deve, Additional SP, CBI, ACB, Hyderabad; Bandi Peddi Raju, Additional SP, CBI, EO-III, New Delhi; Vishal, DSP, CBI, Policy Division, North Block, New Delhi; and Abhijit Sen, Head Constable, CBI, EOB, Kolkata, according to the official statement.
On the eve of Independence Day, the CBI’s Information Section announced that the Police Medal for Meritorious Service has been awarded to: Anoop T. Additionally, on Tuesday, the CBI apprehended an absconding suspect involved in a rape case stemming from post-poll violence following the 2021 West Bengal Assembly Elections.
The suspect has been identified as Usman Ali, also known as Ara or Mir Usman Ali.
He was located and arrested near a mosque in Ilaychipur, situated in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, and subsequently presented before the Supreme Court on Wednesday, as reported by the CBI.
