AAP Appeals to Central Government Regarding Atrocities Faced by Hindus in Bangladesh

Chandigarh, Dec 1 (NationPress) The President of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab, Aman Arora, expressed grave concern on Sunday regarding the troubling reports of atrocities experienced by Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, which notably include the arrests of Hindu priests.
He stated that such acts of oppression against any community are profoundly upsetting and intolerable in all corners of the globe.
"It is distressing to hear about the suffering of Hindus in Bangladesh through media outlets. Violence inflicted upon any community erodes the foundations of harmony and mutual respect. Every nation has a duty to protect its minorities and foster the spirit of coexistence," Arora remarked in a statement.
The AAP criticized the Union government's indifference and negligence in responding to the concerns of Hindus regarding this situation. "The party demands that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) take immediate action to ensure the safety and dignity of minorities are upheld. The MEA and Indian consulates must engage proactively, address these issues with the Bangladeshi government, and seek accountability."
The party further called on the international community to prioritize the security of minority communities across borders.
Arora stressed that this issue transcends political lines and requires a collective response against hate crimes and discrimination.
He also mentioned that India has consistently supported Bangladesh during crises, whether through financial aid or by promoting social stability in the region.
"India has remained a steadfast ally to Bangladesh. Given this enduring partnership, Bangladesh must guarantee the safety and security of its Hindu minority. The Bangladeshi government should take essential actions to safeguard the rights of Hindus there," he added.
"AAP firmly believes that the Central government must place the welfare of its diaspora at the forefront and utilize diplomatic avenues to tackle these urgent issues. A failure to act decisively will only reveal its indifference and ineffectiveness," he concluded.
