Kochi, May 7 (NationPress) Aarti, a mother of twin boys who tragically witnessed her 68-year-old father, Ramachandran, being shot by a terrorist in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, expressed her relief and satisfaction regarding Operation Sindoor.
“While our loss is irreplaceable, we feel a sense of justice with India’s response to Pakistan,” Aarti stated after learning about the operation.
“This was a timely retaliation, and it's reassuring that innocent civilians were not harmed in the process,” she added.
Ramachandran, a former non-resident Indian who returned from the Middle East five years ago, was a dedicated supporter of the BJP.
He had previously contested local body elections and was considered a potential candidate for upcoming civic elections.
Often seen in tears last month, Aarti recounted the traumatic scene when her father was attacked, and her children were present.
While on vacation in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Aarti recalled how the terrorist pointed a weapon at her, but her sons’ cries seemingly deterred him from causing further harm.
Ramachandran’s funeral witnessed the presence of two Governors, state ministers, actors, and hundreds of mourners.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan, and numerous prominent political figures offered their condolences and support to Aarti and her family.
In response to the Pahalgam terror incident, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, India initiated 'Operation Sindoor', targeting nine significant terror objectives deep within Pakistani territory.
Executed with remarkable precision, this operation was closely overseen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior security officials overnight.
The Indian Army confirmed that the strikes were carefully orchestrated to avoid harming any civilian or military infrastructure in Pakistan.
This operation specifically targeted facilities associated with terror organizations responsible for the April 22 attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen in Jammu and Kashmir.
