Shubham Dwivedi, aged 30 and hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was in Pahalgam with his wife and sister-in-law when armed terrorists indiscriminately opened fire on unarmed tourists. He suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and succumbed at the scene.
His wife, Ashanya Dwivedi, expressed her gratitude after the military operation. “I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in this operation, especially our armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who personally oversaw the initiative,” she stated.
“The name ‘Operation Sindoor’ signifies their solidarity with us, the families who have lost their husbands. Whatever the Prime Minister vowed, he has fulfilled. Terrorism will be eradicated wherever it exists.”
Amidst her sorrow, she added, “Terrorists aimed to weaken us by killing our husbands, but we will stand firm. PM Modi has avenged our loss, as he promised, and these terrorists will be eliminated.”
Shubham’s brother also expressed appreciation for the prompt action. “The entire nation is grateful to Modi ji and our armed forces. If anyone challenges our country in this manner, we must respond with strength. This operation felt like a healing balm on our wounds,” he remarked. “The title ‘Operation Sindoor’ truly honors the victims who lost their lives in that attack.”
Shubham's father commended the government’s determination. “I received the news around 2 a.m. The Indian government and armed forces have taken decisive action against Pakistan. I applaud PM Modi for this initiative and for empathizing with the people's sentiments. PM Modi has effectively dismantled terrorism. I salute him.”
