Ahmedabad, Sep 25 (NationPress) The Adani Group organized the fourth edition of Adani Green Talks on Thursday, uniting changemakers, social entrepreneurs, and innovators dedicated to fostering a sustainable and inclusive future.

This event has evolved into one of India's premier platforms for social innovation, beginning with an enlightening keynote from Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group.

During his speech, Gautam Adani emphasized how Green Talks, initiated just four years ago, has transformed into a melting pot for ideas capable of changing societal trajectories.

He highlighted the inspiring journeys of past participants like GenRobotics, whose robots have freed countless individuals from the humiliation of manual scavenging; Navalt, which has revolutionized marine transport economics with solar-electric ferries operating for merely four paisa per passenger per kilometer; and Marut Drones, whose 'Drone Didis of Kashi' have empowered women to become confident agri-entrepreneurs under the national Namo Drone Didi initiative.

These success stories serve as testament to the fact that a strong vision, coupled with determination, can reshape probabilities.

The 2025 edition showcased five groundbreaking entrepreneurs who shared their narratives of resilience, innovation, and social commitment.

Among them were Abhishek Chhazed from Recyclex, focusing on decarbonizing construction through eco-friendly building materials; Akshita Sachdeva and Bonny Dave from Trestle Labs, enhancing Kibo, an assistive technology platform for the visually impaired; Manoj Sanker of Nemocare Wellness, creating affordable healthcare devices for mothers and newborns; Jenil Gandhi and Manan Vyas from Avinya Leather, leading the charge in plant-based, cruelty-free vegan leather; and Sowmya Balendiran from Sea6 Energy, promoting ocean-based seaweed farming for biofuels, bioplastics, and fertilizers.

Collectively, they illustrate the vast landscape of India's innovative capacity in addressing pressing global issues.

This year also saw the launch of the Adani Green Talks Social Impact Awards, selected from numerous applications for their groundbreaking solutions, along with the inaugural Lok Kalyan Award, awarded to Dr. Krishna Ella, the Founder and Executive Chairman of Bharat Biotech.

Gautam Adani presented the award, acknowledging Dr. Ella’s significant contributions to global public health through indigenous vaccines, including Covaxin, which protected millions during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Ella dedicated the accolade to the myriad scientists and innovators in India committed to science with a social mission, asserting that platforms like Green Talks motivate the next generation to dream boldly.

Actor Vikrant Massey, who recently received the National Award for Best Actor for his film “12th Fail,” also graced the event.

Gautam Adani likened Massey’s journey to that of the young entrepreneurs honored on the Green Talks stage, symbolizing resilience and determination.

He announced that, in collaboration with NDTV, Green Talks will extend its search for changemakers into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, acknowledging that brilliance often arises from the most unexpected places in the country.

Gautam Adani expressed his vision to develop Green Talks into a dynamic platform for global collaboration, where ideas from a village in Odisha or Ladakh could connect with innovators in São Paulo or Nairobi, forming a network driven not by transactions but by a common goal of fostering goodness and leaving behind a more sustainable world.

He underscored that Green Talks embodies possibility — the green shoots that emerge from the toughest ground to signify a new chapter of freedom and hope. It invites everyone to dream big and join in India's second freedom struggle, striving for a society devoid of inequality, stagnation, and apathy.
