Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 2 (NationPress) - The collaboration between Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation’s Women CSR initiative ‘Swabhimaan’ with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM) has achieved a remarkable feat. On Thursday, they proudly announced that ‘Swateja Mart’ and ‘Swateja Kitchen’ have surpassed the impressive milestone of Rs 1 crore in revenue within just one year.
This success highlights the effectiveness of empowering women through entrepreneurship, facilitated by robust public-private partnerships.
Aditi Tatkare, the State Minister for Women and Child Development, alongside Rajalakshmi Shah (IAS), Managing Director of MAVIM, recently visited Swateja Mart.
During her visit, Tatkare explored various stalls, interacted with women entrepreneurs, inaugurated ‘Swateja Kitchen’, and even placed an online order through Swiggy.
She praised the integrated initiatives and the assistance provided by Adani Foundation and MAVIM, while also presenting cheques to women beneficiaries who successfully fulfilled large-scale orders.
“Swateja Mart and Swateja Cloud Kitchen exemplify how organizations such as Adani Electricity, Adani Foundation, and MAVIM are driving women’s empowerment, fostering significant job opportunities, and encouraging financial independence,” Tatkare stated.
Implemented under the Swabhimaan initiative in collaboration with MAVIM and BMC, this project has empowered over 380 women Self Help Groups, positively impacting more than 4,500 women through skill development, savings programs, and access to institutional financing.
Both Swateja Mart and the Swateja Cloud Kitchen create sustainable market connections through stalls, weekly markets, corporate outlets, online platforms, and food delivery services—collectively generating over Rs 1 crore in business thus far.
“This achievement highlights the strength of public-private collaborations in promoting women-led growth. We take pride in partnering with MAVIM and local agencies to develop scalable models that enhance financial independence and social empowerment,” remarked a spokesperson for Adani Electricity.
An Adani Foundation spokesperson added, “Beyond financial figures, this milestone signifies the confidence, resilience, and economic empowerment of women. Swateja Mart and Swateja Kitchen are prime examples of how targeted CSR efforts can yield scalable and sustainable impacts under the Swabhimaan initiative.”
