Ahmedabad, Nov 21 (NationPress) The Ahmedabad Flower Show has established itself as a renowned event, gaining acclaim not just within India but also internationally. Organized yearly by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), this vibrant show is held at the picturesque Sabarmati Riverfront.

The preparations for the much-anticipated Flower Show 2026, set to take place in January 2026, are already in progress, according to officials from AMC. This year’s theme, “Bharat Ek Gatha”, celebrates the rich and varied cultural heritage of the nation through innovative floral displays.

Jayesh Trivedi, Chairman of AMC's Recreation, Heritage, and Cultural Committee, shared with IANS that aligning with the theme, the show will illustrate not only the swift advancements of India but also intricate floral designs representing aeronautics, windmills, and solar panels.

“In the last two years, numerous art pieces showcased at the Flower Show have been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, and the Corporation aims to maintain this tradition by introducing something groundbreaking this year too,” he mentioned.

Devang Dani, Chairman of AMC's Standing Committee, mentioned to IANS that the show’s popularity surged after a visit from Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year. “Riding on this wave, the 2026 edition will present over 170 floral sculptures, honoring India's vast cultural diversity,” he added.

Each sculpture is being thoughtfully crafted by skilled horticulturists and artists, who are diligently working to bring the theme to life.

The Ahmedabad Flower Show draws thousands of visitors annually, significantly boosting the local economy and cultural tourism. Having been organized for the past decade, it has become one of the most eagerly awaited events for Ahmedabad's residents.
