AIMIM Denies Claims of Awarding Tickets to Riot Suspects in Delhi

Mumbai, Jan 9 (NationPress) The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) spokesperson, Waris Pathan, has categorically refuted allegations suggesting that the party in Delhi granted election tickets to those implicated in riot activities. Speaking to IANS, Pathan stated, “Those making unfounded accusations ought to reflect on their own actions. Those who dwell in glass houses should refrain from casting stones at others. Didn’t the BJP award a ticket to Pragya Singh Thakur, who is implicated in the Malegaon blast incident?”

He emphasized that the AIMIM candidates, Tahir Hussain and Shafaur Rahman, are innocent, remarking, “They are undertrial prisoners. What will critics assert when they are found not guilty?”

On the topic of a new mosque in Ayodhya as a replacement for the Babri Masjid, Pathan conveyed to IANS, “Once a mosque is established, it remains a mosque eternally. The entire world acknowledges that the Babri Mosque was demolished, and a temple was erected in its place.”

When questioned about who is a more suitable leader for Muslims—Rahul Gandhi or PM Modi—Pathan answered, “None, only Allah. The focus should not be on leadership but on the ongoing persecution of Muslims across various regions of the country. During the struggle for independence, the RSS was absent, yet Muslims shed their blood for freedom.”

Pathan criticized the inadequate representation of Muslims in Maharashtra politics. “In the Maharashtra elections, how many Muslim candidates were nominated? Are Muslims in Maharashtra incapable of securing electoral victories? Nevertheless, parties rely on 90 percent of Muslim votes,” he noted.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the framing of Muslim rights. “When discussing justice, the term ‘Muslim’ vanishes; instead, they refer to ‘minorities.’”

Commenting on Arvind Kejriwal’s proposal to provide Rs 18,000 to priests and saints, Pathan remarked, “Kejriwal resembles a mini version of RSS/BJP. If funds are lacking, why make such promises? His hypocrisy has been unveiled.”

Regarding Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s statements on Sambhal, Pathan said, “Yogi tends to resurrect old matters to polarize voters and undermine secularism. They aim to dismantle the constitution.”

He also condemned the management of riot cases and injustices within the legal framework. “I implore someone to provide them a copy of the Places of Worship Act. Why incite conflict? Examine riot cases, and you will discover numerous innocents languishing in prison,” he asserted.
