All Cultivating Farmers in Telangana to Benefit from 'Rythu Bharosa'

Hyderabad, Jan 2 (NationPress) Every farmer engaged in crop cultivation will be included under Rythu Bharosa, the farmers' investment subsidy initiative set to be launched by the Telangana government after Sankranti.
This decision was made during a meeting of the Cabinet subcommittee, which convened on Thursday to establish the framework for the scheme.
Attendees at the meeting included Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Revenue Minister P. Srinivasa Reddy, and Industry Minister Sridhar Babu.
The subcommittee is expected to present its recommendations, including the eligibility criteria for beneficiaries, to the State Cabinet.
The Cabinet will deliberate on eligibility and additional specifics in its upcoming meeting scheduled for January 4.
Reports suggest that the ministerial panel has opted not to impose any restrictions for implementing the schemes. All farmers, regardless of their income and landholding size, will qualify for the benefits.
The subcommittee may propose that applications for the scheme be accepted from January 5 to 7.
Rythu Bharosa will take the place of the existing Rythu Bandhu, which was initiated by the former government of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Under Rythu Bandhu, farmers received Rs 10,000 per acre each year, but the assistance is set to increase to Rs 15,000 per acre under Rythu Bharosa, as promised by the Congress in the 2023 Assembly elections.
The subcommittee will provide recommendations, which the Cabinet will discuss and finalize.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy declared on December 1 that Rythu Bharosa will be rolled out after Sankranthi.
He mentioned that the financial aid from the scheme will be credited into farmers' bank accounts post-festival.
He urged citizens not to heed rumors spread by opposition parties, asserting that Rythu Bharosa is a commitment made by Sonia Gandhi and will certainly be enacted.
The opposition BRS has accused the Congress government of planning to withhold investment support from numerous farmers, warning against any limitations on the Rythu Bharosa initiative.
BRS leader T. Harish Rao claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reneged on the election promise of providing financial support for three crops annually.
