Amaravati, Jan 21 (NationPress) Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and president of the YSR Congress Party, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, asserted on Wednesday that the coalition government has significantly undermined all state institutions.
He accused the current administration of failing to provide tangible benefits to any demographic within society.
While addressing local representatives and party members from the Eluru Assembly constituency at the party headquarters in Tadepalli, he noted that public dissatisfaction towards the government is growing stronger each day.
Jagan emphasized that YSRCP is steadfastly aligned with the populace during challenging times. Students, farmers, youth, and women are grappling with substantial difficulties, and the party is committed to advocating for their rights every step of the way. He expressed the need for this fighting spirit to intensify with greater unity in the future.
The former CM mentioned that discussions about governance are rampant in households, with many individuals reminiscing about a more favorable life during his administration. He highlighted that welfare initiatives were executed promptly, promises were fulfilled, and beneficiaries consistently received financial support every month.
Conversely, he criticized the current government for breaching public trust by neglecting to follow through on their commitments.
Jagan pointed out that critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and law and order are now in a state of crisis.
The former Chief Minister indicated that fee reimbursements and student welfare payments are overdue, government schools have deteriorated, the Aarogyasri health scheme has weakened, farmers have been deprived of essential support, and law enforcement has deteriorated across the state.
He added that even emergency services like 108 and 104 have become ineffective.
Jagan announced plans to initiate weekly meetings with party members from individual Assembly constituencies and intends to commence another padayatra after approximately a year and a half.
He assured that he would remain in close contact with the public to champion their concerns and urged party supporters to unite and fortify the party in the Eluru Assembly constituency.
