Chandigarh, May 7 (NationPress) Amarinder Singh, the BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Punjab, has issued a stern warning to Pakistan against any attempts to heighten tensions. He praised the Indian Armed Forces for their precise strikes on terrorist camps situated within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

In response to the recent military actions, Singh stated that "this response was long overdue, as Pakistan continues to facilitate the export of terrorism into our nation."

He highlighted the tragic incident from just two weeks prior, where 26 innocent lives were lost in Pahalgam due to the actions of "terrorists trained in Pakistan."

A former army officer himself, Singh commended the defence forces for their remarkable restraint, ensuring the strikes were limited to terror camps without impacting civilians or military infrastructure. He cautioned Pakistan against escalating the situation, warning that it could lead to dire consequences for the nation.

Singh condemned the recent attack by the Pakistan Army on civilian areas, which resulted in fatalities in the border town of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.

He reiterated that India does not seek to escalate tensions. "The nation has made it abundantly clear that those responsible for the Pahalgam attack will face justice. They have been dealt with, as acknowledged by a member of Jaish-e-Mohammad, who, while he managed to escape, suffered losses within his family," he stated.

This, Singh emphasized, showcases the precision of the Indian Armed Forces in their operations, achieving their objectives without civilian or military losses.

"Our focus was solely on the terrorist training camps, and we have struck them decisively, that is the crux of the matter," he added.

In the early hours of May 7, India executed precision strikes targeting nine significant terror camps across Pakistan and PoK.

The air and missile operations were concentrated on terror infrastructure affiliated with internationally recognized groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Measures were taken to prevent civilian casualties and to protect Pakistan’s military assets, highlighting India’s commitment to strategic restraint even in the face of aggression.
