Kolkata, April 15 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a bold assertion on Wednesday, claiming that Humayun Kabir, a former Trinamool Congress member who has recently established his own political party and is contesting in the upcoming West Bengal elections, is merely a pawn of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Shah alleged that Kabir's role is to covertly assist in the establishment of a mosque reminiscent of the Babri Masjid in the state.

"Mamata Banerjee aims to construct a Babri Masjid by casting off her pawn, Humayun Kabir, from her party. Mamata and her nephew must understand this clearly—there will be no Babri Mosque on this land," stated Shah during a campaign event in Falakata, located in Alipurduar district.

He further accused the Chief Minister of spending the last 15 years prioritizing her nephew's political ambitions, although he refrained from directly mentioning Abhishek Banerjee, the party's general secretary and Lok Sabha representative.

“The Chief Minister has only one nephew, whom she intends to see ascend as the next Chief Minister of West Bengal. In contrast, for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every individual here is like family. But Mamata Banerjee needs to recognize—your reign is nearing its end. A BJP Chief Minister has just taken the oath in Bihar, and Odisha has a BJP Chief Minister too. Now, it’s West Bengal’s turn,” remarked HM Shah.

Earlier, while addressing another rally in Rajganj, Jalpaiguri district, he emphasized that just as in Assam, illegal immigrants have been identified and removed from the country, West Bengal would see similar actions once the BJP assumes power.

“All you need to do is vote for the BJP this time. We will then undertake the responsibility of tracking down illegal infiltrators and those within the Trinamool Congress who have aided them in settling in West Bengal. Additionally, individuals associated with anti-social activities under the current regime will face arrest and legal action,” the Home Minister asserted.
