Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that the Delhi government is committed to transforming the capital into a 'Viksit Delhi' while also focusing on completing projects that have historically been overlooked by past administrations.
CM Gupta noted that September 17 is significant as it marks the birthday of Prime Minister Modi. Her government has chosen to celebrate this occasion by launching 'Seva Pakhwada' (Fortnight of Service) from today until October 2.
Throughout this period, the Delhi government plans to unveil 75 projects with investments worth crores, aimed at enhancing public services and propelling the city towards becoming a 'Viksit Delhi'.
The newly constructed Atal Drishti Girls’ Hostel, located near Timarpur close to Delhi University, is a pioneering initiative designed for visually impaired girls pursuing higher education in the city. This facility aims to foster secure and independent living for these students, according to CM Gupta.
Constructed at a cost of Rs 13.42 crore, the hostel spans a plot area of 3,703.43 square metres with a built-up area of 975 square metres (Ground plus three floors) and accommodates 96 students.
The Atal Asha Home, situated in Narela, Outer Delhi, is designed to be a model facility for intellectually disabled individuals nationwide.
