New Delhi, Sep 2 (NationPress) The Delhi government has announced that it will inaugurate five hospitals and 150 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs as part of a significant launch of 75 new schemes during a dedicated Seva Pakhwada. This event is scheduled from September 17, coinciding with the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, until October 2, according to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who made the announcement on Tuesday.
The activities will encompass the inauguration of various developmental projects, foundation stone-laying ceremonies, and the initiation of long-overdue works.
Expressing her strong discontent over recent controversial comments made by opposition leaders, the Chief Minister remarked that using disrespectful language regarding the Prime Minister’s deceased mother not only diminishes the standards of politics but also disrespects women as a whole.
During a press conference at the Delhi Secretariat, Chief Minister Gupta elaborated on the planned Seva Pakhwada surrounding PM Modi’s birthday.
She emphasized that the Seva Pakhwada will be more than just a ceremonial event; it aims to implement schemes that offer tangible benefits to the populace.
Chief Minister Gupta stated, “We are initiating this Seva Pakhwada on the Prime Minister’s birthday. This event is a tribute to his unwavering commitment and selfless service, as he has devoted every moment of his life to the nation’s advancement.”
She added that PM Modi has never favored one state over another and has always worked for the welfare of every state and every citizen. “In this spirit, the Delhi Government is organizing this Seva Pakhwada in his honor,” she noted.
During the Seva Pakhwada, the Delhi government will unveil a series of initiatives including the inauguration of 150 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, a comprehensive sanitation campaign (Delhi ko Kude se Azadi), and the launch of five major hospitals, along with other significant projects related to education, housing, transport, and civic amenities.
“All these initiatives will not only focus on public welfare but will also reinforce our commitment to building a Viksit Delhi,” she said.
