Ahmedabad, Nov 21 (NationPress) Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Friday launched the newly constructed Shree Kamalam BJP district office in Morbi, with the presence of Gujarat's party president Jagdish Vishwakarma. The occasion included a grand ceremony honoring party workers, symbolizing a crucial organizational achievement for the district unit.
Speaking to a large crowd of supporters, HM Shah delivered a vigorous political address aimed at the Opposition, inspiring the cadre as they approach the local body elections.
"Those who anticipated the downfall of the BJP and NDA must pay attention -- governments will be formed by the BJP and NDA even in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal," he stated.
The Home Minister emphasized that under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, and state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma, the party is tasked with breaking all previous records in municipal, panchayat, and other local elections.
"The Congress will once again face defeat in the upcoming local elections. Every BJP worker must remain vigilant until the Congress can only be located with a telescope," he asserted.
Reflecting on the party's journey, HM Shah remarked that the BJP was founded on the dual principles of ideology and organizational strength.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fortified both and introduced a third dimension -- service -- propelling countless party workers towards public service," he noted. He also directed criticism at the Congress, recalling Rajiv Gandhi’s quip 'we two, our two', stating: "Today, the BJP and NDA govern two-thirds of India."
Reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to national security, HM Shah reiterated the party's pledge to eradicate illegal infiltration.
"Let the Congress and its allies act as they wish. The BJP is resolute in removing every infiltrator -- from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Dwarka to Kamakhya. In Bihar too, voters favored the NDA for a state free of infiltrators," he stated.
Earlier, Gujarat BJP chief Jagdish Vishwakarma referred to the inauguration as a moment of tremendous pride for the Morbi workers.
He recounted that during his tenure as BJP’s national president, HM Shah envisioned establishing modern, comprehensive party offices in every district across the nation.
"Most districts in Gujarat already possess such offices, with construction ongoing in the remaining areas," he commended the workers for their commitment to nation-building. HM Shah also elaborated on Morbi's resilience and its emergence as a global ceramics hub.
He reminisced about the tragic Machhu dam incident and praised the district's entrepreneurial spirit that rebuilt Morbi from its foundations.
"Today, Morbi stands out as the most attractive location for the ceramics industry," he remarked, adding that the decision to elevate Morbi from a municipality to a municipal corporation would further boost development.
The event saw the attendance of senior state leaders including ministers, MPs, MLAs, district office bearers, and a significant number of BJP workers. The Morbi office, designed as a model district headquarters featuring modern amenities while preserving traditional aspects, is anticipated to function as a vital organizational center for the party in Saurashtra.
