Amit Shah Unveils Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, Urges Opposition Leaders to Embrace Her Resilience

New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, a hostel for working women, along with a Veterinary Center—an advanced animal care facility—in the capital. He reflected on her indomitable spirit as an Opposition leader. The Minister of Co-operation remarked that residents of the working women hostel would be proud to associate with the late Sushma Swaraj, who serves as an inspiration for women across the nation and generations.
During his address post-inauguration, the Home Minister highlighted the significant contributions of the late BJP stalwart, not only as a prominent minister in the BJP-led NDA government but also as a fierce Opposition leader. He encouraged Opposition leaders to emulate the standard set by Sushma Swaraj.
Criticizing the Opposition for their ineffective and confused stance on public issues, he urged them to learn from her fighting spirit to achieve success in their pursuits.
“Sushma ji will be remembered not only as India’s Foreign Minister and Health Minister but also as a tenacious Opposition leader,” he stated.
The Home Minister further noted that it was Sushma Swaraj who, in her role as Opposition leader, effectively criticized the UPA government in Parliament over corruption and exposed a Rs 12 crore scandal occurring under its oversight.
“In discussions about the significance of the Leader of Opposition, Sushma ji will undoubtedly serve as a paragon,” he added.
His remarks targeting the Opposition come amid growing political discourse surrounding freebies and electoral benefits as the elections approach. The BJP accuses the Opposition of misleading voters with freebie propaganda, while the Opposition blames the government for diminishing public debates.
Amit Shah also seized the moment to criticize Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP government.
“Those who claimed they would neither accept a government house nor a car have built a palace with the hard-earned Rs 45 crore of Delhi’s residents,” he remarked.
