Vijayawada, Jan 26 (NationPress) The 76th Republic Day was observed with enthusiasm and grandeur throughout Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. The celebration was led by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, who unfurled the national flag during the primary official ceremony at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.
Among the attendees were Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, IT Minister Nara Lokesh, and other senior officials.
The Governor oversaw a vibrant parade featuring various contingents from the state police and acknowledged the march past. A total of 18 tableaux from different departments showcased various schemes of the state government, inspired by Swarnandhra Vision 2047.
In his address, the Governor highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the coalition government over the past seven months to meet the aspirations of the citizens. He articulated the government's ambition to elevate the state to be one of the leading economies in the nation by 2047.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu hoisted the national flag at his residence in Undavalli and paid floral tributes to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B. R. Ambedkar. He extended his Republic Day greetings to the public.
