Key Takeaways
Amaravati, Jan 26 (NationPress) The recovery and transformation of Andhra Pradesh has officially commenced, as the state has navigated through years of uncertainty, remarked Governor S. Abdul Nazeer on Monday.
While addressing the inaugural Republic Day celebrations in the state capital, Amaravati, the Governor emphasized that every reform and initiative is tailored to reignite growth and meet the aspirations of the populace.
"Today’s celebration is a landmark event. For the first time, the National Flag is being raised in Amaravati, the people’s capital of Andhra Pradesh. For many years, our state lacked a clear path forward, with the capital project at a standstill and economic confidence shaken. The lack of continuity diminished investor trust and destabilized financial health,” he stated.
Yet in the face of these obstacles, the government has worked with quiet resolve to restore stability and rebuild confidence, he noted.
"This endeavor has not been straightforward. It has required discipline, resilience, and belief in our shared mission. However, the results are evident — projects are progressing, institutions are regaining their strength, and public trust is being restored. The journey of recovery and transformation is underway," he said.
To steer this path, the government has anchored its actions in the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision, which aims to create a robust, inclusive, and globally competitive state by the centenary of India’s independence. He added that the guiding framework for this vision is the Padi Sutralu — the 10 fundamental principles of governance. He outlined the initiatives taken and the progress achieved under these guiding principles.
The 10 principles include zero poverty, employment & skilling (Yuva Galam), population management & human resource development, water security, farmer-agritech, global best logistics & infrastructure, cost optimization (energy & fuel), product perfection (Brand AP), Swachh Andhra & safe Andhra, and deep tech & smart governance.
The Governor declared that on this 77th Republic Day, they are celebrating not just democracy but also the unwavering spirit of Andhra Pradesh — a state that emerges stronger from every challenge.
"My Government believes governance must evolve over time. Speed and transparency are now the new benchmarks of service delivery. Through technology, we ensure that help, information, and justice reach citizens instantly — not in days, but in moments. This is what we define as the Speed of Delivering Governance. As we progress toward Swarna Andhra, we envision a state where every village thrives, every town is dynamic, and every city is sustainable," he proclaimed.
The Governor mentioned that the Super Six implementation is central to the government’s efforts to provide dignity, pride, security, and joy to every individual, empowering every family in Andhra Pradesh.
Expressing concern over the growing disparity between the affluent and the less privileged, he stated that the government is reversing this trend by merging robust welfare initiatives with wealth generation and improved living standards for all.
Under NTR Bharosa, the monthly pension of ₹4,000 stands as the highest in the nation. Individuals with disabilities receive ₹6,000. Currently, 63.12 lakh pensioners benefit from this scheme.
Deepam 2.0 is providing three free LPG cylinders annually to impoverished households, benefiting 1.08 crore individuals. The Sthree Shakti free bus travel scheme, initiated on August 15, 2025, has enabled 37.80 crore women, girls, and transgender persons to travel for free, increasing the share of women's bus journeys from 40% to 65%.
A new Family Benefit Management System with a dynamic "Family Score" will classify households and issue Family Cards starting June 2026, broadening welfare coverage from 90.74% to 98.15%.
He noted that the P4 Programme (Public–Private–People Partnership), launched on Ugadi 2025, is advancing the objective of “Zero Poverty” by uniting government, industry, and communities to uplift the bottom 20% of the population. Over 1 lakh “Margadarsis” have adopted 10.30 lakh “Bangaru Kutumbalu,” working family by family to eradicate deprivation.
