Amaravati, April 11 (NationPress) The coalition government led by the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned investment plans totaling Rs 9.36 lakh crore since it took office in June 2024, as announced by Minister for Information and Public Relations and Housing, Kolusu Parthasarathy, on Friday.

During a media briefing following the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the minister revealed that the approved proposals are anticipated to create employment opportunities for 9.62 lakh individuals.

The Cabinet endorsed 16 projects in the sectors of information technology, electronics, and communications, with an investment amounting to Rs 17,459 crore. These initiatives are expected to generate approximately 36,411 jobs.

Among the significant resolutions was the approval of data center projects in the districts of Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli.

The Cabinet also authorized Credence Realty’s initiative to set up an IT Park in Visakhapatnam. This project, acknowledged under the ‘IT Campus Developer’ category of the Andhra Pradesh IT and Global Capability Centre Policy (4.0) 2024‑29, will receive relevant incentives.

The project, recommended by the State Investment Promotion Board, involves an investment of Rs 386.88 crore and is projected to create 6,500 jobs.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved the allocation of two acres of land to Feuji Software Solutions Private Limited for an IT/ITeS campus in Visakhapatnam, in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Land Incentive for Tech Hub Policy (4.0) 2024‑29. This project necessitates an investment of ₹425 crore and has the potential to generate 2,500 jobs.

The Cabinet also sanctioned the allocation of 0.4 acres of land to Sritech Data Limited for a Cable Landing Station in Visakhapatnam, with an investment of Rs 1,800 crore.

Parthasarathy further stated that approval was granted to PG Technoplast Private Limited for manufacturing facilities for refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners in Phase‑1, as well as expanding the PCB vertical capacity, establishing a research and development center, and a Component Vendor Park in Phase‑2.

This initiative involves an investment of Rs 1,305 crore and is expected to create 2,910 jobs.
