Chandigarh, Aug 4 (NationPress) Haryana's Transport Minister and the most prominent legislator, Anil Vij, stated on Monday that individuals should refrain from listening to 'kathavachaks', or religious narrators, and instead pay attention to the words of saints. He emphasized that “only saints can convey the ultimate truth, and there exists a clear distinction between a storyteller and a saint.”
In a media interaction, a forthright Vij remarked: “Anyone can become a ‘kathavachak’ after perusing a few texts. Recently, Aniruddhacharya-ji Maharaj made several controversial comments. However, a true saint is someone who has undergone penance, renounced worldly pleasures, achieved spiritual enlightenment, and formed a divine connection.”
Pookie Baba, also known as Aniruddhacharya, drew criticism for his sexist remarks implying that women who remain unmarried at 25 are promiscuous.
When questioned about Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition in Bihar, regarding his possession of two voter ID cards with different numbers—which may be regarded as a criminal act—Haryana Minister Vij replied: “If Tejashwi possesses two, then their associates likely have hundreds. Hence, I have consistently stated that fake leaders are advocating for fake voters in Bihar.”
In response to inquiries about his forthcoming tour across Haryana commencing on August 15, and whether it was prompted by any dissatisfaction, Vij clarified: “I am not displeased at all. In fact, no one can be a more devoted follower of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) than I am. Responsibilities have been allocated for each of the 42 assembly constituencies.”
He mentioned that party members from various parts of Haryana reach out to him, and he intends to meet with all of them.
“Being the most senior BJP MLA in Haryana, having won assembly elections seven times, no one else comes even close. That's why I oversee the entire state. Workers from all over Haryana call for me, and I will visit each of them, meet them, and fully energize them so they work for the party tirelessly,” he added.
